Ezra Burstein, M.D., Ph.D., Professor and Chief of the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases at UT Southwestern is co-author of a paper discussing the current understanding of the clinical manifestations of POLA1 gene mutations with an emphasis on its immunological consequences, as well as recent advances in understanding of its pathophysiologic basis and potential therapeutic options.
