The doctors pose that interventions before and after birth can reduce the rising maternal mortality ratio: “by highlighting some of the challenges of current data collection and reviewing contemporary data trends, we can pinpoint gaps in health care and focus on measures that make a tangible positive impact on maternal health outcomes."
