Kishan G. Patel, M.D.

Kishan G. Patel, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in diseases of the retina and vitreous, cataract surgery and complications, and secondary intraocular lens implantation.

Dr. Patel earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at UT Southwestern and gained advanced training in vitreoretinal surgery through a fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis.

Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

Dr. Patel has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals related to his areas of interest. In 2022, he received the Golden Apple Fellow Teaching Award from the Department of Ophthalmology at Washington University.
