Dr. Sarah Wingfield to Participate in AAMC Leadership Seminar

Sarah Wingfield, M.D., an Assistant Professor in the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Associate Director of the Internal Medicine Residency program, has been accepted into the Early Career Women Faculty Leadership Development Seminar, sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges.

Seminar participants are taught critical skills and strategies to assist them as they prepare for academic advancement and to identify and take advantage of leadership opportunities.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Wingfield holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Trinity University, which she earned summa cum laude. She received her medical degree from UT Southwestern, and then completed internal medicine residency training at Duke University Medical Center, where she also obtained advanced fellowship training in geriatric medicine.

Dr. Wingfield joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2016.
