Raksha Jain, M.D., is an Associate Professor in UT Southwestern Medical Center's Department of Internal Medicine and is a Dedman Family Scholar in Clinical Care. She is also the Medical Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program.
She has earned awards from the National Institutes of Health, Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for her work on hormonal influences of lung disease in cystic fibrosis.
Dr. Jain obtained her bachelor of science degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in molecular biology and received her medical degree at the University of Texas Houston Health Science Center. She completed her residency and chief residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern and moved to Washington University in St. Louis for her fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine.
She oversees multicenter clinical trials related to cystic fibrosis and conducts her own clinical and molecular scientific research. Her research interests include new treatments for cystic fibrosis and gender disparities in airway diseases.
Dr. Jain is board certified in pulmonology, critical care medicine, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
